Burträsk-based company sees global market for cultivation process

After years of research, the Burträsk-based company Mufutech has invented an automated and sustainable mushroom cultivation process featuring energy recovery. "The market for shiitake mushrooms is set to double from $5 billion to $10 billion by 2030. Many major stakeholders in the US and Europe now want to purchase our technology and visit our pilot facility at SLU in Umeå, Västerbotten," says Lars Atterhem, MufuTech’s founder, in a press release from LTU Business.
